Why create The Pedigree Tree^©?

The Pedigree Tree was created to recognize our animal friends as an important part of our families.

When we looked at the pedigree document given to us by our breeder, we realized it provided a fascinating insight into the personality, lineage and even physical characteristics of our dog, Hobbes - even if it was just words on paper.  We decided then that we wanted something more - and 'something more' became the foundation of The Pedigree Tree idea.

To recognize our animal friends of "mixed breed descent", a Pedigree Tree is an appealing and fun way to show how much they mean to your family.

So as animal lovers, The Pedigree Tree also supports Ontario Veterinary College.

Are Pedigree Trees for purebred animal friends only?

Can I frame my Pedigree Tree?

Yes, and it's easy! Pedigree Trees are a finished 12” x 16" size and fit into standard frames measuring 16" x 20", using a 2 1/8"mat. * Confirm by measuring*

The Pedigree Tree now sells and ships framed Pedigree Trees using a 16”x20”, black, solid wood frame with mat – ready to hang. The price for this frame is $50 in addition to the Pedigree Tree purchased.

What information do I need in order to complete a Pedigree Tree

For purebred animals, the two necessary pieces of information you need to complete your animal friend's Pedigree Tree are:

1. the contact information of your breeder OR the pedigree or lineage you receive from your breeder when you purchase your pet

For mixed breed animal friends, you need:

What can I expect to receive in my Pedigree Tree package?

Each Pedigree Tree print is individually contained within a custom protective print cover and loosely rolled into a durable mailing tube for delivery. Also included within the mailing tube is an official letter of authentication as well some information about the Pedigree Tree.

Can I update my Pedigree Tree later once I've purchased one?

The Pedigree Tree individually numbers and archives every document, therefore when reordering an updated version, just reference your existing code - this will make reordering a breeze!  For more information on this, contact us.
